WELCOME TO VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS SAM APPLEBY, JR. MEMORIAL POST 7628

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Commander's Corner

Commander Jim Price

I am so honored to have been elected for another year as your Commander. 2025 has already been a busy year for Post 7628. Our membership continues to grow, and we are getting more and more involved in local Community activities. Service to the community and advocacy for local veterans are my priorities. As we add more active members to the Post our ability to pursue these priorities is greatly enhanced.

I am happy to announce the Post has a Color Guard team that can respond to requests from schools and civic organizations. Contact us on this site with your request and we will do our best to be available for your needs.

The Post is strengthening our relationships with local youth organizations: Ozark and Nixa High School JROTC, the Civil Air Patrol, local Scout troops and the ROTC department at Missouri State University.

If you qualify to join the VFW, we would love to have you come to a meeting and check us out. If you are related to a veteran who is or was qualified to join the VFW, please consider joining our Auxiliary.

I excited about the upcoming year!
