Commander's Corner

Commander Jim Price

I am so proud to announce our Post was designated as an "All-State" and an "All-American" Post for 2025-2026. This is the second year in a row we've achieved these honors. Our commitment to Community Service and our recruitment of new members last year were key elements to our success. Service to the community and advocacy for local veterans remain my priorities for the next year. Recruitment is also important. I'm happy to announce our membership is growing steadily, and our new members are jumping in with both feet. and getting the mission done!

We continue to improve our meeting hall ensuring it is a safe and inviting space for all veterans and any private or civic organization to rent and use.

The Post is strengthening our relationships with local youth organizations: Ozark and Nixa High School JROTC, the Civil Air Patrol, local Scout troops and the ROTC department at Missouri State University. We're looking forward to partnering with the new JROTC program in Rogersville.

We recently had volunteers help out at Least of These Food Pantry and can't wait to do it again. We love our great community.

If you qualify to join the VFW, we would love to have you come to a meeting and check us out. If you are related to a veteran who is or was qualified to join the VFW, please consider joining our Auxiliary.

I excited about the upcoming year!
